A wedding ceremony your guests will still be talking about
I’m an agnostic and legally authorised wedding celebrant in Scotland, creating ceremonies across Moray, Speyside, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire.
No scripts. No copy-and-paste. Just something that feels like you.
Your ceremony should feel like you. Not a template.
Most ceremonies follow a script. Mine don’t.
I’m an agnostic, legally authorised and inclusive wedding celebrant with Open Beliefs Scotland, which means I can conduct your marriage and make it official on the day.
You’ll still apply through your local registrar, as every couple marrying in Scotland does, but everything else can happen in one ceremony, in a way that feels right for you.
I’ve been a celebrant since 2012 and have led over 2,500 ceremonies, so while this may all feel new to you, you’ll be guided through it with calm, clarity and experience from the very beginning. You don’t need to have it all figured out yet – that’s something we’ll work through together.
As an agnostic celebrant, I don’t follow a fixed structure or belief system.
Your ceremony can be non-religious, religious, spiritual – or somewhere in between.
What matters is that it reflects you – your values, your beliefs, and what feels right.
Some couples come to me thinking they want a humanist-style ceremony.
What they’re usually looking for is something personal, relaxed and centred around their story, which is exactly what I create, just without restrictions.
I work across Moray, Speyside, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire, as well as throughout Scotland.
We’ll talk about your story, what matters to you, and how you want your ceremony to feel, and shape it into something that fits naturally into your day.
Some are simple.
Some include laughter.
Some include dogs or children who ignore all instructions.
No two ceremonies are ever the same.
If you want a ceremony that feels like yours – not something you’ve seen before – we should talk.

Meet Your Celebrant
Hi, I’m Laura. Lover of tea, biscuits, animals, and a bit of peace and quiet.
I’ve been a celebrant since 2012 and have led over 2,500 ceremonies, so you’re in experienced hands from the very start.
I live in Moray with my family and a slightly chaotic mix of dogs, cats, chickens and fish. Life is busy, full, and never dull, which probably explains why I love what I do.
I work across Moray, Speyside, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire, creating ceremonies that feel relaxed, natural and genuinely like you.
No scripts. No copy and paste. Nothing awkward.
Just something that fits.
If that sounds like what you’re looking for, we’ll get on well.
A ceremony that feels like part of your day, not something separate from it.
Questions couples often ask
Can you legally marry us in Scotland?
Yes – I’m a legally authorised wedding celebrant with Open Beliefs Scotland, which means I can conduct your marriage and make it official on the day.
Do we still need to apply for our marriage with the registrar?
Yes. Every couple marrying in Scotland still needs to submit their marriage application to the local registrar office nearest their venue. I guide you through this so it feels simple and straightforward.
What kind of ceremony can we have?
Pretty much anything, as I’m a agnostic and fully inclusive celebrant. Non-religious, religious, spiritual, or something that doesn’t fit neatly into any of those boxes. There’s no template – just what feels right for you.
Do you offer humanist-style ceremonies?
Yes – many couples come to me for something personal, relaxed and centred around their story (what people often call humanist-style). That’s exactly what I create, just with more flexibility.
What are your ceremonies actually like?
Some are non-religious, some are religious, some are simple, some are traditional, some have lots of laughter and some have last minute changes that somehow make it even better. No two ceremonies are ever the same – and that’s the whole point.
Where do you cover?
I can legally marry you anywhere in Scotland, and I am always happy to travel for the right ceremony – but I mainly work across Moray, Speyside, the Highlands and Aberdeenshire.
